Texas Tech earns a draw against Cal State Fullerton

LUBBOCK, Texas – Despite a pair of shots on goal in the final minute of the match, Texas Tech recorded a 0-0 draw against Cal State Fullerton Saturday at Titan Stadium.

Giselle Kozarski fired off a shot attempt with 38 seconds to go in the match that couldn’t find the back of the net. Charlotte Teeter followed directly behind Kozarski with an attempt that hit the cross bar in the winding seconds of the match.

“We pushed all the way to the end,” head coach Tom Stone said. “One of the exciting things about this game was that both teams wanted to win it all the way down to the wire. We had several chances late, and we did just about everything we could do.”

The Red Raiders (1-1-2) looked to score early in the first half with back-to-back on target shots from Macy Schultz and Charlotte Teeter.

The Tech defense held Fullerton (1-1-2) to just two shots throughout the entire first half. However, the Titans came out firing in the second half with their best look coming in the 46thth minute, but Tech was able to clear it off the backline.

Kozarski took a pair of long-range shots in the 56th and 57th minute but was unable to find the back of the net on either, setting up the dramatic final minute of the match.

Tech goalie Madison White picked up her second shutout of the season with one save.
