Women’s Soccer Hosts William & Mary on Sunday Afternoon

The High Point University women’s soccer team returns to Vert Stadium on Sunday to host William & Mary. The Panthers are 0-1-2 on the season after tying American and Marshall before dropping a 2-0 contest to ECU.

Only clear bags will be permitted for HPU events. All other bags will be subject to search before entry. In addition to bag checks, fans will be required to walk through metal detectors prior to entry for the scheduled event.

The McGuinness Era
2022 marks the first season for the head coach Aaron McGuinness and his two assistants, Kate Ward and Tori Collar. McGuiness comes to HPU after spending five seasons as an assistant at Virginia Commonwealth University.

After defeating Campbell in the Big South Tournament Championship, the HPU women’s soccer team advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in five years. The Panthers faced no. 1 Virginia in the first round.

Panthers tabbed second in preseason poll
HPU was picked second in the Big South Preseason Coaches’ poll behind 2021 tournament runner-up, Campbell. The Panthers received three first-place votes in the poll behind the Camels’ seven.
