NIC SOCCER: Cressall, Chavez notch wins for Cardinals

TUKWILA, Wash. — Marshall Cressall had two saves for North Idaho College, which took a 3-1 halftime lead on the way to a 4-1 win over the Pierce Raiders of Pullayup, Wash., in the final day of the NWAC friendlies at the Starfire Soccer Complex on Wednesday.

Breyden Lane, Spencer Lords and AJ Putnam scored in the first half for NIC, which outshot Pierce 15-3. Jai Solis scored in the 52nd minute for NIC (1-1-0), which hosts Rogue on Sept. 2 at Eisenwinter Field.

TUKWILA, Wash. — Kaycee Chavez had five saves for the Cardinals in a win over the Lakers of Coos Bay, Ore., in the NWAC friendlies at the Starfire Soccer Complex.

Addison McCulloch scored on an assist from Grace Mulcahy in the ninth, then Teresa Ledezma scored three minutes later to give NIC a 2-0 lead in the first half.

NIC (2-0-0) is scheduled to host Peninsula on Sept. 6 at Eisenwinter Field.
