Indiana men’s soccer players recognized in Top Drawer Soccer 2022 preseason awards

Top Drawer Soccer unveiled its men’s Division I soccer preseason awards ahead of the official start of the regular season Thursday. Multiple Indiana men’s soccer players were honored on various lists, including the preseason Best XI First Team and the Top 100 Players to Watch.

Redshirt senior defender Daniel Munie — who was named to the Big Ten Players to Watch List on Monday — cracked Top Drawer Soccer’s Best XI First Team as one of three defenders on the list. Munie, who was an All-American and the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year last season, has started every single game the last two seasons.

On TDS’s Preseason Top 100 Players to Watch List, Indiana was one of just four programs with three players in the top 50. Munie, who came in at No. 3 overall, was joined by senior forward Karsen Henderlong at No. 38 and fellow senior attacker Herbert Endeley at No. 49.

Henderlong — who transferred from Xavier University this offseason — led the Musketeers in goals, assists and points in the 2021 season and earned a first-team All-Big East selection.

Endeley tallied two goals and a team-high six assists last season, and he was awarded second-team All-Big Ten honors for the second straight year.
