Students to receive laptops through Mt. Pleasant schools Chromebook program – The Morning Sun

Through the support of the Mount Pleasant community, Mount Pleasant Public Schools is launching its 1:1 Chromebook program for the 2022-2023 school year.

The school bond, approved by voters in November 2021, allowed the district to purchase Chromebook laptops to improve technology equity and engagement. Grades DK-5 will have Chromebook carts in the classroom with specific devices allocated to each student, while students in grades 6-12 will have Chromebooks they will use at school and can bring home each evening for homework.

“We’re thrilled to be able to provide all of our students with Chromebooks to improve access to technology, enrich their learning and better prepare them for success both inside and outside the classroom,” said Chief Information Officer Joe Judge. “We’ve already distributed the devices to our students in grades 6-12 so they’re ready to hit the ground running.”
