Toronto Blue Jays 9 Boston Red Sox 2 (Late)

The same teams play again tonight (Wednesday 4:10 PT) and Thursday in Boston.

The (66-55) Blue Jays are 3rd in the AL East and are holding down one of three wild-card spots in the American League.

UNBC Timberwolves

The UNBC Timberwolves begin their Canada West men’s soccer season with a pair of home games this weekend.

The Timberwolves host the Trinity West Spartans Friday night at 6 and Sunday at noon at Masich Place Stadium.

CFL:

The (8-1) BC Lions put a 5-game winning streak on the line when they host the (5-5) Saskatchewan Roughriders Friday night at 7:30.

With Nathan Rourke out with a foot injury, the Lions will start Michael O’Connor at quarterback.

Week 12 of the CFL season begins Thursday night with (6-3) Calgary at (9-1) Winnipeg (5:30 PT).
