Tiger Woods copies the LIV Golf model

The PGA Tour has taken the situation seriously and is not giving up its fight against LIV Golf. The meeting held by the PGA Tour players speaks volumes. Alan Shipnuck reported for The Fire Pit Collectiveregarding the current situation and the moves that Tiger Woods will make.

“Woods and the 20 top players he assembled discussed the formation of a tour-within-the-Tour: up to 18 no-cut tournaments featuring the top 60 players competing for $20 million purses,” Shipnuck reported One LIV Golfer indicated what this would mean.

“The best part is the lower-tier guys [on Tour] don’t even know what is coming,” one LIV Golfer told The Fire Pit Collective.

Tiger Woods and LIV Golf

Although Tiger Woods had an offer to be a part of LIV Golf, he decided to turn it down and focus on other things.

“To be honest, we don’t comment on any past or current offers to any players, but obviously the media picks up on information, tid bits, white noise, and they run with it,” Norman said for foxsports.com.au.

“I just want to make sure for clarification here, the numbers that were thrown out were inclusive of future franchise value. “And so if you take a look at this number that’s being thrown out there … the generational wealth that this franchise opportunity has for the individual players is incredible”.

Even a few months ago, Tiger Woods was clear about his fight against LIV Golf. “I think that what they’ve done is they’ve turned their back on what has allowed them to get to this position,” Woods said.

“What these players are doing for guaranteed money, what is the incentive to practice? What is the incentive to go out there and earn it in the dirt? You’re just getting paid a lot of money up front and playing a few events and playing 54 holes. They’re playing blaring music and have all these atmospheres that are different”.
