While British celebrities have often parted with their money to fund their favorite football club, it’s a little unusual for American A-lister Ryan Reynolds to do the same with partner, Mythic Quest co-writer and star Rob McElhenney.
Reynolds said The Times newspaper that, like a real-life Ted Lasso, he had to win over doubtful local fans, and the whole story is told in Welcome to Wrexham, a six-part documentary series about to debut on Disney+, with the trailer presented below.
The film follows the Hollywood pair transforming the club’s stadium and securing TikTok as kit sponsor – plus the universal tale of every football fan’s emotional rollercoaster. For more, read the full Deadline report.
The Morning Show cast is back on set for Season 3
On January 11, Patently Apple posted a report about The Morning Show had been renewed for season 3. On June 14 we posted another report titled “The strong women from ‘The Morning Show’ talk about important storylines.” Then on August 10 we posted a report titled “Actor Jon Hamm Joins the cast of the Apple TV+ Drama ‘The Morning Show.’”
Last week, producer and star of “The Morning Show” Reese Witherspoon leaked via Twitter that the team behind season 3 were back on the set of the show.

Last year it was announced that Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshinethat produced The Morning Show and many others, was sold for $900 million to a media company backed by the private-equity firm Blackstone Group Inc.
In a statement released by Witherspoon she stated: “I started this company to change the way all women are seen in the media. Over the past few years, we have watched our mission thrive through books, TV, film and social platforms. Today, we’re taking a huge step forward by partnering with Blackstone, which will enable us to tell even more entertaining, impactful and illuminating stories about women’s lives globally.”
The Morning Show is definitely a strong platform for Witherspoon’s vision and mission.
