The NBA has put together a slate of five games for their 2022 Christmas Day schedule that includes the Boston Celtics, and it is looking like a bunch of heavy-hitters will be on the menu along with a couple of teams who are there more for their media market than season expectations, at least as currently constructed.
The Celtics will get a shot at an Eastern Conference semifinals rematch against the Milwaukee Bucks and their star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, leaving some fans salty it will not feature a 2022 NBA Finals rematch against the Golden State Warriors. And while the Dubs will indeed play on Christmas Day, it will be against their fellow 2022 Western Conference playoff team, the Memphis Grizzlies.
The hosts of ESPN’s “NBA Today” show got together to talk about the slate of contests scheduled for the big holiday and shared their opinions on the matchups they’d have liked to have seen instead.
Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear what they had to say.
