Fire crews put out a second fire in less than a week at a Burlington mobile home on Friday, and investigators believe both may have been set intentionally.
At 9:25 pm, the Burlington and West Burlington fire departments were called to a mobile home located on the 600 block of South Roosevelt Avenue and found it engulfed in flames.
Crews brought the fire under control within 10 minutes. The mobile home was unoccupied and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is suspicious in nature and is under investigation by the Burlington Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and the Burlington Fire Department, according to Burlington Fire Marshal Mark Crooks.
The property is owned by G&B Construction of Burlington.

The Burlington Police Department also assisted in the response to the fire.
Friday’s fire was the second time the trailer caught fire in less than a week. On Aug. 9, fire crews responded to a fire at the same mobile home.
No one was home at the time of that fire, no injuries were reported, and crews cleared the scene within two hours of receiving the call.
Investigators also believe the cause of that fire was suspicious.
Crooks told The Hawk Eye on Monday that he could not share any additional details on the cause of the fires, but noted that both are still under investigation.
