We’re just a few months away from the start of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and fans of the United States Men’s National Team are undoubtedly excited to watch their team compete on the world’s biggest stage after the team failed to qualify for the tournament in 2018. However, fans don’t seem too excited about what the USMNT might be wearing when they take the pitch in Qatar.
On Monday, a photo surfaced showing what is allegedly a leaked look at the uniforms the United States will be wearing throughout the 2022 World Cup run. The photo shows a white jersey trimmed in dark blue and red with a USA crest in the middle as well as a jersey that appears to be blue and black tie-dyed with the same center crest.
A fan just DMd me these pictures of the 2022 USMNT World Cup kit. pic.twitter.com/u7nDwp6iXB

It’s worth noting that these kits are unofficial and there’s a very real possibility that these are not the uniforms the USMNT will be wearing in Qatar. The crest placement suggests these could be training kits, as FIFA rules have not allowed team crests or logos to be placed on the center of the jersey.
Still, that didn’t stop the soccer world from reacting to the alleged leak on Twitter, with most fans expressing displeasure at the designs.
I’m skeptical that these are legit (some inconsistencies with Nike’s current template).
However… I’m pretty sure the real shirts will be very similar (the home one, at least) 😬 https://t.co/PMYDYqbL7B

We got the tie dye jerseys. Next we’re gonna replace the national anthem with Morning Dew and our starting 11 all fail drug tests. https://t.co/yOYcoBjdUl

USMNT wearing black & blue to the World Cup feels a bit too on the nose

the white one looks like it was sold out of a trunk outside a stadium in 2002 and the blue one looks like it’s something you’d get at a Nugent concert https://t.co/8YnjDRMa4l
