Customers of both EE’s and BT’s mobile UK service will be able to enjoy it a bit more on Sunday this weekend after the operators announced that they were zero-rating data (mobile broadband) across their network this Sunday. The move is intended to celebrate the Women’s England vs. Germany UEFA European Championship final.
EE and BT Mobile customers, including EE’s SME (business) customers, will thus all enjoy free data from 12 noon to midnight on Sunday 31st July. The change will apply even if you’ve already used up your current data allowance. Naturally, if you already have a plan withunlimited data“, then there will be no change.
Marc Allera, CEO of EE, said:We know emotions will be running high and the last thing anyone wants to worry about is their data running out. So, on Sunday evening, customers will be able to count on our award-winning network to stream every kick, capture every moment and share every roar when, fingers crossed, the Lionesses bring it home!“
