Saturday Soccer Roundup: Stevens boys shut out Watertown, Brookings girls rally to beat Central

RAPID CITY, SD – The Rapid City Stevens boys soccer team is off to a promising start.

After opening the season on Friday with a win over Brookings, the Raiders defeated Watertown on Saturday, 3-0.

Sam Tschetter led the Raiders with two goals.

Stevens will travel to Sioux Falls next weekend to play Washington and Lincoln.

Girls Soccer

Brookings 3, RC Central 1

After a scoreless first half, Kiley Mellum scored in the 46th minute to give Rapid City Central a 1-0 lead.

Unfortunately, Brookings scored three goals in the final six minutes and the Bobcats rallied to beat the Cobblers, 3-1.

Elise Lefers finished with two goals for the Bobcats.

The Cobblers return to action on Aug. 19-20 against Sioux Falls Lincoln and Washington.
