MARQUETTE — The women’s soccer team at Northern Michigan University was among the recipients of a College Team Academic Award made by the United Soccer Coaches, the university announced recently.

These Wildcats were recognized for exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2021-22 academic year as one of 501 women’s teams that posted a combined grade-point average of 3.0 or better.

NMU’s team had a combined GPA of 3.51 and were recognized as one of three GLIAC teams.
