WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Due to a change in Long Beach State’s travel schedule, the Purdue soccer team’s non-conference home game against LBSU on Sunday, September 11, has been canceled.
The game will not be rescheduled.
Purdue’s Reunion Weekend, originally scheduled for September 10-11, will be rescheduled for later in the 2022 season. Additional details on the event, including the new date and how alumni can register, will be announced on PurdueSports.com/Soccer as details are finalized.
The Boilermakers’ 2022 regular-season schedule now features 17 games, including nine at Folk Field. Five Big Ten foes visit West Lafayette, and four of Purdue’s nine home games are against teams that made the NCAA Tournament last season. The complete schedule can be found here.
Prior to the regular season beginning on August 18 against No. 15 USC, the Boilermakers host Illinois State on Saturday, August 13, at 1 pm ET.
Admission to the ISU exhibition match and each regular-season contest at Folk Field will be free for all fans.

The Boilermakers are coming off one of the greatest seasons in program history in 2021. Purdue went 15-4-3, its second-best record and second-most wins in team history behind only 2007. The team made the NCAA Tournament for the first time. time since 2009, and seventh time in program history, and advanced to the second round for the fourth time and first since 2007. The Boilermakers went 8-2-0 in the Big Ten and notched a runner-up finish, both tied for their best-ever marks.
Purdue finished the year ranked No. 24 in the final United Soccer Coaches Top 25 national poll, appearing in the postseason poll for the third time ever and the first since 2007. Individual accolades included an All-America honor, two All-Region accolades, five All-Big Ten Team awards , the Big Ten Forward of the Year and the first two NWSL draft picks in team history.
The 2022 roster features 21 returners and 11 newcomers that are a top-20-ranked signing class.
