Many of the guys in the NBA are a lot younger than they look.

It’s easy to forget but basketball has always been and always will be a young man’s game and that means that most athletes aren’t playing into their late 30s.

Someone like LeBron James, for example, isn’t the norm.

The NBA is celebrating just one of its many young stars: Andre Drummond of the Chicago Bulls.

The league tweeted out a congratulatory message heralding Drummond’s 29th birthday and that has some fans scratching their heads.

That’s because, frankly, many people thought he was a lot older than that.

Because of his physical build, his look, and the amount of time he has spent in the league, there are some who assumed Drummond was well into his 30s.

Since he is just 29, that means that Drummond has plenty more time to impress people and find a lot of glory in the NBA, right?

A Brand New Home

Drummond was once putting up more than 17 points and 15 rebounds a game during the height of his career.

That was back during his best time with the Detroit Pistons.

Since then, Drummond’s output has varied and diminished a lot.

During his last stretch with the Brooklyn Nets, the big man was putting up 11.8 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 1.4 assists.

Those aren’t bad numbers by any means, but they also aren’t the stats you want from a starting center.

Now Drummond is heading to the Chicago Bulls and it remains to be seen what he will do there.

The team desperately needs to improve its defense and, while Drummond will help, he probably won’t be able to fix all of their problems.
