If you’re trying to decide if you need a laptop, but don’t want to spend a bunch of money to get one, I’m here to suggest getting an iPad instead. Hear me out: Target is offering this iPad Mini for $399, and if you opt to buy a laptop for the same price instead, you’ll almost certainly regret it.
Am I being dramatic? Maybe. But as someone who has owned both cheap laptops and an iPad, I can say my personal preference is for the iPad.
iPad Mini Deal at Target
Apple
iPad Mini 64GB
Sale price is good on the Purple, Starlight, and Space Gray models.
If you’re looking for a portable solution to stream movies, listen to music, surf the internet and send some emails back and forth, a $399.99 iPad Mini will suit your needs better than a $399.99 laptop. That’s my opinion and I’m sticking with it. Cheap laptops are great because they’re cheap, but they almost always feel cheap, whereas even older iPads still feel like quality products. On top of that, if the trackpad or keyboard breaks on a cheap laptop (which they do), adding a keyboard just makes it way bulkier.
There are plenty of reasons to go with a laptop over an iPad, but my honest and heartfelt recommendation is to skip cheap laptops altogether and ask yourself “can I do everything I want to do on an iPad instead?” Because the answer is probably “yes.” Look into your heart: you know it’s true.
You know what? You knew what you wanted before you even opened this article. And I respect that. Go forth, and spend how you see fit (no but really, get the iPad).
The iPad Mini deal is just one of the great Apple deals happening at Target right now.
