Rays will open 2024 regular season vs. Blue Jays at Tropicana Field

ST. PETERSBURG — The Rays will open the 2024 regular season at home against the Blue Jays on March 28, and finish it on the road Sept. 29 in Boston.

In between, they will play the other 27 teams as Major League Baseball continues with the schedule format it introduced this season, with teams facing all others in both leagues.

MLB released full 2024 regular-season schedules for each of its 30 teams on Thursday. (See the Rays’ schedule here.)

National League teams that will visit Tropicana Field in 2024 are: Giants (April 12-14), Mets (May 3-5), Cubs (June 11-13), Nationals (June 28-30), Reds (July 26-28 ), Marlins (July 30-31), Diamondbacks (Aug. 16-18) and Padres (Aug. 30-Sept. 1).

The Rays will travel to play the Rockies (April 5-7), Brewers (April 29-May 1), Marlins (June 4-5), Braves (June 14-16), Pirates (June 21-23), Cardinals ( Aug. 6-8), Dodgers (Aug. 23-25) and Phillies (Sept. 9-11).

Tampa Bay will have only two West Coast trips (down from three this year) and will play its final 16 games against American League opponents.

As far as East division foes, the Rays will have six home and seven road games against the Red Sox and Yankees, and seven home and six road games against the Orioles and Blue Jays.
