The South Bend Cubs will be home for July Fourth Week as they get set to host the Peoria Chiefs in Midwest League High A minor league baseball beginning Tuesday at Four Winds Field.
All homestand games take place at Four Winds Field, 501 W. South Street, South Bend. Tickets can be purchased online at SouthBendCubs.com or by calling the Box Office at 574-235-9988. The box office is open during the week from 10 am to 5 pm and on weekend game days until the seventh inning.

Going into Sunday’s games, the Cubs have started the second half of the season a dismal 2-5 and sit in last place in the Midwest League West Division. Peoria is 4-3 and tied for second place.
Tuesday’s game (7:05 pm) will include post-game Fireworks and there will be a Stanz Mustard Giveaway.
Wednesday’s game (7:05) is Beach Towel Giveaway, with the first 1,000 through the gate receiving a South Bend Cubs beach towel.
Thirsty Thursday (7:05 pm) is when fans can enjoy $2 fountain drinks and 16-ounce domestic draft beer.
Friday (7:05) will include another post-game fireworks show.
Saturday (7:05) is the popular Star Wars Night that will feature a special appearance by the 501st Legion from the Northern Darkness Garrison and the Taakure Clan of Mandalorian Mercs Costume Clubs. All game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting A Rosie Place for Children. Saturday is also Spin to Win Saturday. Nine contestants age 18 and older get a chance to spin a wheel for prizes.
Sunday (2:05) is a Los Cabritos Maldichos Soccer Ball Giveaway. The first 1,000 kids through those gates will receive a Los Cabritos Maldichos soccer ball as the Cubs honor and celebrate the Latino community. Sunday is also Funday with an autograph session and an opportunity to play catch on the field prior to the game.
Clubhouse leaders for the Cubs including Ezequiel Pagan, who is hitting .332 with 64 hits, including two home runs for 18 RBI. Kevin Alcantara also had 64 hits with 16 doubles, two triples, seven home runs and 40 RBI. Pitching, Richard Gallardo is 5-3 with a 3.93 ERA and Cade Horton is 3-2 with a 3.15 ERA.
