Here’s what happened Friday in Mets Land, in case you missed it…

David Robertson‘s uncharacteristic eighth inning doomed the Mets in a 5-4 loss to the San Francisco Giants to open a three-game series.

Carlos Carrasco went five innings and recapped his outing, in which he felt that “every pitch was working.”

Pete Alonso‘s struggles continued, and he got blunt about his forgettable June: “I’m having probably the worst month I’ve ever had in the big leagues.”

Jose Quintana made his fourth rehab start, but he did not perform as planned at Triple-A Syracuse.
