Two more names can be added to the Boston Celtics’ roster for the NBA’s 2023 Las Vegas Summer League. New reporting from Rookie Wire’s Cody Taylor and Husker Online’s Robin Washut. Peter Taylor, the Celtics will be adding wing Reggie Kisoonlal to the Sin City Celtics, while accordingly to Washington, Boston plans to bring on former Nebraska guard Sam Griesel.
Kisoonlal spent last season with the Maine Celtics, and his versatility on the wing at 7-foot-0 should give the Summer Celtics an interesting look with the potential to earn a two-way deal with Boston. Griesel, an undrafted 6-foot-6 shooting guard who rebounds well for his position and can playmake a bit could also fight his way into one of Boston’s two way slots with a strong performance but will need to improve his perimeter shooting to stick at the NBA level.
While it is not clear how many players Boston will carry to the annual Nevada exhibition series, the Celtics are close to having a full roster with these two additions, with a total of a dozen players at the time of writing.
