The Milwaukee Brewers (40-37), fresh off a series win over the Cleveland Guardians, begin a four-game set tonight against the New York Mets (35-42) at Citi Field as their three-city road trip continues.
They face three-time Cy Young Award winner Justin Verlander, who joined the Mets in the offseason after a five-year run and two World Series championships with the Houston Astros. The 40-year-old, however, is just 2-4 on the season with a 4.50 ERA in nine starts. Verlander, who is playing on a two-year contract worth $86.67 million, missed the first month of the season with a shoulder injury.
First pitch is set for 6:10 pm
