The eyes of the golf world will be on Muirfield Village Golf Club beginning Thursday morning.
Starting at 7 am Thursday, the first round of the 2023 Memorial Tournament will tee off, with seven of the top 10 golfers in the Official World Golf Rankings fighting for a share of the $20 million purse including No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, No. 2 Jon Rahm, No. 3 Rory McIlroy and No. 4 Patrick Cantlay.

Here’s what happened during the 2022 Memorial Tournament
Billy Horschel will take the course at Muirfield Village Golf Club trying to repeat as Memorial champion.
After finishing the first round of the 2022 tournament 2 strokes under par, Horschel finished the next two rounds 11 strokes under par, finishing the tournament 4 strokes better than Aaron Wise for his first Memorial championship with a 275. Horschel secured more than $2 million of the $12 million purse with the 2022 Memorial Tournament title.
Patrick Cantlay, who won the Memorial in 2019 and 2021, finished tied for third place with Joaquin Niemann with a 281, while 2020 Memorial champion Jon Rahm finished tied for 10th place with Sungjae Im and Brendan Steele with a 284.
