Gallagher had driven in only four runs this season entering the game.
Steven Kwan finished 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and Will Brennan went 3-for-3 with two doubles and two runs scored.
Starting pitcher Logan Allen, possibly fighting to keep his spot in the rotation once Triston McKenzie and Aaron Civale return from injury, tossed seven scoreless innings and struck out 10. Allen is the second pitcher in franchise history to record at least eight strikeouts in three or – more of his first seven career games, joining Herb Score.
