The 2023 recruiting cycle is not done yet. There are still a few high-profile names on the board. One of them is still within USC’s grasp.
Edge rusher Emmanuel Okoye announced his top three schools on Wednesday. Tennessee, USC and Texas Tech are Okoye’s top three schools. They all made the cut in a recruitment which contains a very particular plot twist.
Okoye carries a unique story into the recruiting world. The 6-foot-5, 230-pound edge freak prospect attends the NFL Academy in London, England. He recorded a 45.5-inch vertical with a 72-inch wingspan, both the highest recorded numbers in the 2023 class.
Okoye ranks as the No. 29 edge rusher and the No. 1 player from England in the class of 2023, according to 247Sports.
He was initially a 2024 prospect, but was reclassified and will be eligible to enroll immediately after his commitment. That detail is very important to note.
