On Wednesday, the All-NBA teams were announced, and as widely expected, LeBron James was one of the players who made the cut.
He was named to the All-NBA Third Team, which some of his fans may see as a disappointment, as it marks the third consecutive year he was not named to the All-NBA First Team.
However, in making the third squad, James still continued to add to his impressive resume and legacy.
It was his 19th consecutive selection to one of the All-NBA teams, which is the most ever. He also widened the gap between himself and the three players with the second-most All-NBA selections — late Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, Lakers great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Hall of Famer Tim Duncan.
In addition, James made history by becoming the first player to be named to an All-NBA team in his 20th season.
He averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists a game in the regular season while guiding the Lakers back from a 2-10 start to the NBA Playoffs.
Although the all-time leading scorer has not been playing his best in the playoffs, his team is now on the verge of knocking out the defending world champion Golden State Warriors and advancing to the Western Conference Finals.
