The 2023 NHL Draft order for the first round was (partially) set after Monday’s draft lottery.
The Chicago Blackhawks won the draft lottery and earned the No. 1 pick, which gives the Blackhawks the opportunity to select Connor Bedard, the 17-year-old generational Canadian-born center who is the top prospect in this year’s draft class. Bedard is set to play his first NHL season in the Central Division against the Predators.
The Nashville Predators stayed at No. 15 overall in the first round.
