Cincinnati Reds announce when City Connect jerseys will be unveiled

The Cincinnati Reds announced Monday via Twitter that their City Connect jerseys will be unveiled this Saturday, May 13.

The team’s tweet featured a few seconds of video of starting pitcher Hunter Greene and infielder Jonathan India appearing to check out the jerseys for the first time. Fans will have to wait a few more days.

The Reds are scheduled to wear their City Connect jerseys for the first time May 19 at Great American Ball Park in a game against the New York Yankees. Apparel will be available on MLB Shop’s official MLB City Connect collection.

Nike vowed to work with each MLB team to create a City Connect uniform expressing the personality and communities of the city in which the team plays its home games.

Last week, the Seattle Mariners became the 17th Major League Baseball team to debut City Connect jerseys. The Reds will be No. 18.
