Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid react to Jimmy Butler’s 56 points for the Heat

While the Philadelphia 76ers are in the middle of preparing for the Eastern Conference semifinals after they swept the Brooklyn Nets in Round 1 of the playoffs, they have some time to watch all of the other playoff action.

On Monday, they were able to sit back and watch history happen down in South Florida. The 8 seed Miami Heat dug deep and they rallied from a double-digit deficit to knock off the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks 119-114 thanks to a record-setting performance by former Sixers star Jimmy Butler.

Butler set a Heat franchise playoff record with 56 points in the win while also pulling down nine rebounds. He shot an efficient 19-for-28 and he drilled three triples with 22 of those points coming in the fourth quarter.

Tyrese Maxey took to Twitter to give his reaction to Butler’s huge night.

Joel Embiid, who played with Butler in Philadelphia and is very close with him, also had to give his former teammate a shoutout on Twitter.

Butler was absolutely scintillating in Miami. To set a Heat franchise playoff record when considering the players who have played for them is very impressive.
