The Denver Broncos hosted Iowa defensive back Riley Moss on a top-30 visit on April 18, according to The Draft Network’s Ryan Fowler. NFL teams are allowed to host up to 30 non-local prospects at their facility leading up to the draft each offseason.
Moss (6-1, 193 pounds) ran a 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds and a 10-yard split in 1.48 seconds at the NFL combine. Although he played cornerback for the Hawkeyes, some draft pundits believe Moss could transition to safety in the NFL.
In five years at Iowa, Moss totaled 158 tackles, 11 interceptions (three returned for touchdowns) and 11 pass breakups in 43 games.
NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein has compared Moss to Ross Cockrell, who was a fourth-round pick in the 2014 NFL draft. Moss is also projected to be a fourth-round pick in this year’s draft.
The Broncos currently hold pick No. 108 overall in the fourth round. Moss might be a target somewhere in that range of the draft.
The 2023 NFL draft will be held in Kansas City from April 27-29.
