AORUS 17X with RTX 4090 costs $3,899
The first high-end gaming laptop with the powerful Raptor Lake CPU and NVIDIA’s latest GPU architecture is now available on Amazon.
It looks like the preorders for the new series of laptops officially start tomorrow, but Gigabyte was quick to list their flagship AORUS 17X gaming laptop early. This is the most feature packed models from all gaming laptops the company is preparing for February launch.
The system features a Core i9-13900HX processor based on Raptor Lake silicon. This is the 24-core unlocked processor with boost clock up to 5.4 GHz. The HX series have increased the default TDP to 55W, but they are equipped with less powerful integrated graphics, just like their desktop version.
However, this laptop does not need integrated graphics because it is already equipped with the GeForce RTX 40 GPU, the RTX 4090 to be exact. Not only this is the best NVIDIA GPU for this generation of mobile GPUs, but also this is the full-fat version with max TGP (Total Graphics Power) up to 175W.
AORUS 17X features:
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU 16GB GDDR6
- Intel 13th Gen Ready: i9-13900HX Processor 5.4 GHz
- DDR5 Ready: DDR5 5600 16GB*2 (32GB), 2TB Storage (Gen4 M.2 SSD)
- Cutting-Edge Display: 17.3″ 16:9 Thin Bezel QHD 2560×1440, 240Hz, 100% DCI-P3, TÜV Rheinland Certified
- Next Gen Interface: Windows 11 Pro, Intel Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth V5.2
Although the picture shared by Amazon lists ‘FHD’, AORUS 17X laptops are equipped with QHD (1440p) panels, featuring a 240Hz refresh rate.
Gigabyte’s flagship laptops offer up to 64GB of RAM, but this model is equipped with 2x 16GB of DDR5 memory. What is important is that this is a DDR5-5600 memory, which is a noticeable upgrade over the previous series equipped with 4800 MT/s modules.
It is worth noting that this laptop has a powerful cooling solution with four fans and a full cover vapor chamber. However, AORUS 17X is not a very portable laptop, as it weighs 2.8 kg. This weight does not even account for the 330W power supply that is added with this laptop.
The system has been priced at $3,899 and can now be preordered, but the product will ship on February 8th, which is the official launch date for Intel 13th Gen HX/RTX 40 gaming laptops.
