Donna Kelce will officially become the first mother to have two sons play against each other in the Super Bowl on February 12.
Donna’s two sons, Jason and Travis, are both NFL stars for their respective teams, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Sunday was a day to remember for the Kelce family as both football stalwarts clinched spots in the Super Bowl, first with Jason’s Eagles beating the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC before Travis and the Chiefs emerged victorious from the AFC Championship game over the Cincinnati Bengals.

With their respective victories, the two brothers set up a sibling Super Bowl showdown in Arizona where they will face off against each other on February 12 for the Lombardi Trophy.
When they meet at Super Bowl LVII, Donna will become the first mother to have two sons play against each other in the big game, according to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
However, it will prove a tough watch for their mother who will be wanting to root for both her sons, knowing that ultimately one will head home a loser.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame tweeted out confirmation of Donna’s soon-to-be achievement
Super Bowl LVII will mark the first time two brothers will face off on football’s biggest stage
She marked her sons’ achievement by taking to social media to tweet, ‘#HeightsHighandUCBearcatSuperBowl,’ which is a reference to both sons attending Cleveland Heights High School and the University of Cincinnati.
The two brothers will not take to the field at the same time with both playing on their respective teams’ offense – Jason is an All-Pro center and Travis is an All-Pro tight end.
‘It’s your hopes and dreams coming true, but it’s your worst fears,’ Donna said PJ Ziegler of FOX 8. ‘Somebody is going to go home a loser, and neither one of them lose very well.’

Meanwhile, their father Ed joked: ‘Thank God they’re both on offense, probably rules out any fist fight!’
This year, Donna watched the Eagles 31-7 trouncing of the Niners at the game in Philadelphia but was not able to hop over to Kansas City in time to watch Travis and the Chiefs due to the games’ scheduling.
Instead, she watched Kansas City on television from Lincoln Financial Field stadium.
She explained that she chose to attend the Chiefs’ game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the divisional round as it had ‘never happened before’ and therefore headed to Philly over Kansas City for the championship weekend.
However, last year she managed to fly from Tampa to Kansas City to watch both the Eagles and the Chiefs play in their Wild Card matchups on the same day.
After watching Travis win his third AFC title game in four years, Jason tweeted: ‘Officially done being a Chiefs fan this season!!’
Earlier, Jason announced he would wear a ‘Kansas City sweatshirt’ for ‘the next three hours.’
‘Then that’s it for the rest of the year,’ the laughing Jason told reporters. ‘Win or lose, I’m done being a Chiefs fan in three hours.’

Cleveland natives who went on to star at the University of Cincinnati, Travis and Jason both rank among the best at their respective positions, and each have already won a Super Bowl: The older brother in 2018 and the younger sibling in 2020.
The Kelce brothers are close off the field, and even launched a podcast together last year.
‘We are two brothers from Cleveland Heights who, as kids, had a dream of turning pro, and now we’re here to give our thoughts from inside the game,’ read a statement about the show, titled: ‘New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce.’
‘We’ve been waiting for the right moment to do this show, and with 12 Pro Bowls and 2 rings between us, we have a few things to say about the league, the new talent on the field, the upcoming season, and our lives off the field. There will be a few notable names to join us on episodes, but for the most part, this will be a raw dialogue between two brothers who had the chance to live out their childhood football dreams together.’
