Tigers have 3 prospects in MLB Pipeline top 100

The Detroit Tigers have three players in MLB Pipeline’s list of top 100 prospects, which was unveiled live on MLB Network on Thursday night.

They are: Right-handed pitcher Jackson Jobe (63rd); infielder Jace Jung (83rd) and right-handed pitcher Wilmer Flores (95th).

Jobe, 20, was drafted out of high school with the third overall pick in 2021. He finished his rookie season with three strong starts at West Michigan.

Jung, 22, was drafted last summer with the No. 12 overall pick out of Texas Tech University. He played 30 games in his debut season at Class A (advanced) West Michigan. His brother, Texas Rangers prospect Josh Jung, is ranked No. 100 by the website.

Flores, younger brother of the big-league infielder with the same name, turns 22 next month. He could make his big-league debut as early as this summer after five dominant starts in West Michigan and an impressive summer at Double-A Erie.

MLB Pipeline’s release completes a trio of prospect rankings released over the last several days.

Jobe was the only player ranked by Baseball America.

The Tigers had four players in Baseball Prospectus’ Top 101: infielder Jace Jung (No. 86); right-handed pitchers Wilmer Flores (No. 87) and Jackson Jobe (No. 91); and third baseman Colt Keith (No. 98).
