ANAHEIM — Trevor Zegras scored with 1:26 left in overtime to give the Anaheim Ducks a 2-1 win against the Arizona Coyotes at Honda Center on Saturday.
John Klingberg stole the puck from Matias Maccelli in the Coyotes’ zone, cut towards the net and passed back to Zegras, who scored from the slot.
The goal came shortly after John Gibson made a highlight-reel save on Jakob Chychrun with 3:15 remaining. Clayton Keller skated in on a 2-on-1 and passed to Chychrun, who cut back across the grain and had his backhand denied by the glove of Gibson, who was sprawled out on the ice.
“‘Gibby’s’ save was ridiculous,” Zegras said.
Max Jones scored, Klingberg had two assists, and Gibson made 33 saves for the Ducks (16-29-5), who have won three in a row for the first time this season.
“We’re rolling. It feels good,” Zegras said. “Everybody loves to win no matter where you are in the standings or how the season’s going. Winning is the best feeling, and that’s why we all play.”

Anaheim also defeated Arizona 5-2 on Tuesday and the Colorado Avalanche 5-3 on Thursday.
“That game against Colorado was a big win,” Jones said. “We’re finding a little groove right now. We’ve just got to keep on moving forward with it. With the (All-Star) break here and coming back out of it, it’s something we have to remind ourselves of once we get back from the break. Just keep playing the same way.”
Nick Ritchie scored, and Connor Ingram made an NHL career-high 43 saves for the Coyotes (16-28-6), who have lost two of three.
“He’s playing very well,” Arizona coach Andre Tourigny said of Ingram. “He was definitely our best player tonight. I think he made key saves. It’s good for him. He’s a great person. I’m so happy for him.”
Ritchie gave Arizona a 1-0 lead at 16:21 of the first period. He kept the puck in at the left point down Christian Fischerwho skated out from behind the net and sent a backhand pass through the slot to Ritchie, who scored past Gibson’s blocker.
At the time of the goal, the Ducks were outshooting the Coyotes 14-3.
“The more the game went on the better we were,” Tourigny said. “More competitive, more physical, so there were a lot of positives, especially the second half of the game.”

Jones tied it 1-1 at 12:32 of the second period. Klingberg’s initial shot was blocked by the stick Lawson Crousebut the puck caromed to Jones, who spun and scored short side from the right circle.
“When I get my heart rate going and I get into the game, I find it a lot easier to just play hockey,” Jones said. “You’re not thinking as much, you’re not worried about making mistakes.”
Jones said playing on the same line Frank Vatrano and Mason McTavish has helped bring out the best in his game.
“Frankie is such a hard-working guy, too, so it’s really easy to be on the forecheck with him,” Jones said. “Every time I was on the puck today, [McTavish] was right next to me, so it makes the game really easy when you’re just hounding the puck and don’t give the ‘D’ any time.”
Before the save on Chychrun in overtime, Gibson’s best save came at 10:05 of the third period, when a turnover by the Ducks left Gibson all alone against Maccelli.
