Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 Trinity OC 24GB drops below US$1,800 on Amazon

With a launch price one dollar shy of US$1,600, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition 24GB GDDR6X is now available on Amazon for a whopping US$2,389.

Despite this price tag, there are only two units left in stock. Those thinking about Newegg will discover prices that go dangerously close to the US$3,000 mark, unfortunately. Considering these, the US$$2,077.67 Amazon list price of the factory overclocked Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 Trinity OC 24GB GDDR6X video card that also features a custom cooling solution looks bearable. Thankfully, the ongoing 13% discount takes it down to US$1,799.67.

The discounted video card mentioned above has the model number ZT-D40900J-10P and features IceStorm 3.0 cooling alongside Spectra 2.0 RGB lighting. The list of video connectors includes 3 X DP 1.4a and one HDMI 2.1a, both capable of 8K 60 Hz output. Next to the card, Zotac also bundled a GPU support stand, a 3-pin RGB header cable, and a 4x 8-pin-to-12VHPWR cable. The boost core clock is 2535 MHz (a negligible difference from the 2.52 GHz of the Founders Edition) and the memory comes with a default speed set at 21 Gbps.

After only 37 user reviews, Zotac’s video card has a rating of 3.9/5 stars. This is the result of 64% perfect ratings, 9% 4/5 stars, but there are also 20% minimum ratings. However, as it’s often the case with video card reviews, most of these one-star ratings come from users not happy with the customer support or who think that the price above the MSRP is a reason valid enough to consider the product worthy of such a rating

In the end, the reality is that finding a new RTX 4090 for less than US$1,700 (US$1,800 for factory overclocked models) is quite a lucky strike, so good luck with that. If you hit the jackpot, feel free to share your discovery with the rest of us in the comments section.
