Ex-NFL defensive tackle Chris ‘Swaggy’ Baker is up and walking one week after suffering a stroke.
The former Washington star shared the positive update to his social media as he posted a video of him taking tentative steps down a hospital corridor.
Baker, 35, appeared to be wearing a blue, plastic belt around his midriff, which a member of the hospital staff lightly held to help support him as he made his way down the hallway.

Baker revealed on social media earlier this week that his life ‘almost ended’ after he suffered a stroke last Friday.

‘Tell your love ones you love em my life almost ended 2 days ago,’ he said on Instagram. ‘I can’t believe I had a stroke but God is not done with me yet.’
He also posted a video of him from a hospital in Hartford, CT, showing him in a gown and taking to a nurse as he appeared to be hooked up to IV drips.
His mother said that he suffered a ‘serious’ stroke on Friday and that he required emergency surgery, calling his recovery a ‘miracle,’ according to TMZ.

However, doctors reportedly said that the former Washington player was responding as if the stroke was only ‘minor’ and that he is expected to make a full recovery.
Baker played college football at Penn State before transferring to Hampton University, where he earned All-MEAC honors in his only season.
He was undrafted in 2009 before signing a deal with the Broncos. He then had a brief stint in Miami before playing for Washington from 2011 to 2016.
In 93 career games, Baker had 214 total tackles, 28 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, five forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
