Lenovo has unveiled new education-focused hardware, software, and services at the FETC conference in New Orleans. Their portfolio includes laptops with Windows 11 or ChromeOS, designed to support hybrid learning. These laptops feature improved connectivity and durability, and are backed by Lenovo’s DuraSpec testing.
The laptops, along with Lenovo’s TruScale Device as a Service, aim to provide a consistent supply of quality devices and cost efficiency for educational institutions. Recently, Lenovo has introduced the Legion Pro 7 series, ThinkBook Plus Twist and more.
Lenovo 100w Gen 4
It sports an 11.6-inch anti-glare display, powered by Intel Processor N100, up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, Wi-Fi 6 for fast connectivity, HD camera for hybrid learning, durable keyboard with reinforced ports and hinges, and EPEAT Gold registered in the US, Canada and Germany.
Lenovo 300w Yoga Gen 4
Lenovo 300w Yoga Gen 4 laptop, which features a 11.6-inch IPS touch display with Corning Gorilla Glass, a garaged stylus and support for using a pencil without damaging the screen.
It is powered by Intel Processor N100 or N200, has a 360-degree hinge, rubber bumpers for added protection, an HD front camera and an optional 5MP world-facing camera for capturing real-time field trip footage and images. It also has Wi-Fi 6 and optional 4G LTE for connectivity.
Lenovo 500w Yoga Gen 4
It features a 12.2-inch WUXGA IPS touch display with Gorilla Glass and low blue light certification for ease on the eyes. It has a 16:10 aspect ratio, powered by Intel Processor N100 or N200, Pencil Touch support and optional active garaged stylus pen, Wi-Fi 6 for fast and stable connectivity, and optional FHD camera for high-resolution video conferencing and an optional 5MP world-facing camera.
Lenovo 13w Yoga Gen 2
Lenovo has also announced the 13w Yoga Gen 2, a laptop with a 13-inch WUXGA IPS touch display with Gorilla Glass. It is powered by up to AMD Ryzen 7 7000 Series processors, ideal for educators and administrators who need extra power for managing workloads and infrastructure.
It has up to 16GB RAM, up to 512GB SSD, an FHD camera with optional Infrared for easy login through Windows Hello and an optional 5MP world-facing camera. The laptop also has Wi-Fi 6 and optional 4G LTE for versatile connectivity.
Lenovo 100e Chromebook Gen 4
The 100e Chromebook Gen 4, a lightweight laptop with a 6-inch anti-glare display. It is powered by MediaTek Kompanio 520, has 4GB RAM and 32GB eMMC storage, Wi-Fi 6 and optional 4G LTE for versatile connectivity, an HD camera for hybrid learning collaboration, and a durable keyboard with full skirt keycaps and reinforced ports and hinges.
Lenovo 300e Yoga Chromebook Gen 4
Lenovo also announced the 300e Yoga Chromebook Gen 4, a laptop with an 11.6-inch IPS touch display with Corning Gorilla Glass and an optional garaged stylus. It is powered by Intel Processor N100 or N200, has up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB eMMC storage, touch display support and an active stylus pen is optionally available, Wi-Fi 6 or 6E and optional 4G LTE for versatile connectivity, HD or FHD camera for video conferencing and an optional 5MP world-facing camera.
Lenovo 14e Chromebook Gen 3
Lenovo also announced the 14e Chromebook Gen 3, a laptop with a 14-inch display with an aluminum top cover and 82% screen-to-body ratio, powered by Intel Processor N200 or Intel Core i3-N305, up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB SSD, Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 6E2 for faster and more stable connectivity, and an HD or FHD camera.
Pricing and availability
The new Windows 11 laptops and the new Chromebooks will be available starting Q1, 2023, with pricing to be announced later.
