What was even more interesting was the performance given by Kris Letang. The defenseman was just taken off the side lines from the injured reserve and he turned out to be a big reason for the win.

While playing against Detroit on December 28, Kris Letang sustained an injury due to which he missed 11 subsequent games. But during this game, it was as if he had never left the rink at all. He scored two goals and gave two assists. But the injuries during the game are not the only misfortune that Letang has had to suffer through.

The Defenseman had a stroke somewhere around November and December and had to stop playing then as well. And this was not the first, but the second stroke he had to suffer through in the past eight years.
