Is this the world’s first Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra unboxing video?

Samsung is yet to officially announce the Galaxy S23 series, but all of its specifications have been revealed. Information about its pricing, pre-order offers, and availability has also been leaked over the past few days. Now, a new YouTube video has appeared, claiming to be the world’s first Galaxy S23 Ultra unboxing.

A video from YouTuber Agrawalji Technical claims to show the Galaxy S23 Ultra and its box packaging. The whole video is quite dark, and it is tough to see if the phone is actually the Galaxy S23 Ultra or its predecessor, as both phones look pretty similar. However, some eagle-eyed Twitter users, including tipster Ice Universe, have pointed out things from the video that make it look like the whole video is fake. Although the serial number and IMEI of the phone appearing in the video belongs to the Galaxy S23 Ultra, it can be easily faked.

The antenna line on the phone’s metal frame appears on the device’s top right section in the video. However, official press renders of the Galaxy S23 Ultra reveal that the antenna line should be on the top left section. Ice Universe pointed out that the font seen on the Galaxy S23 Ultra box in the video is thinner than the official Samsung font. It looks like a weak attempt to pass the Galaxy S22 Ultra off as the Galaxy S23 Ultra. And the box appears to be printed using renders of the phone and some Photoshop skills.

Samsung will officially unveil the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra on February 1, 2023, and the phones will be available for pre-order on the same day in some countries. Some markets will see the price increase compared to the Galaxy S22 series, while others won’t. Samsung has already started accepting pre-registrations for the upcoming smartphones.
