MSI gaming laptops with RTX 40 graphics cost between $1200 and $4700
Microcenter is now listing the first RTX 40 laptops from MSI.
MSI has confirmed pricing for their laptops with large US retailer Microcenter. Unfortunately, there is no sign of the promised $999 gaming laptop with RTX 4050 graphics.
The MSI laptop listed by the retailer called GT77HX Titan is equipped with the top specs, including RTX 4090 GPU, i9-13980HX CPU, 64GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and 2TB of SSD storage. This system will cost $4,700.
Not much cheaper is the GE78HX Raider, expected to retail at $4,000. The main difference apart from the different chassis is the 4K 144Hz display on the Titan and the 1440p 240Hz Mini-LED panel on the Raider. It is worth adding that gamers can choose RTX 4080 GPU in Raider for $700 less, but this system also comes with slower DDR5 memory.
Now, when it comes to more affordable options, the cheapest RTX 4070 laptop is Pulse 15 with Core i7-13700H CPU, 32GB DDR5-5200 ram and 1TB of storage. This system would cost $1700. Alternatively, there is a $1500 model with an RTX 4060 and half the system memory capacity.
The cheapest options listed at $1200 are of MSI Katana 15 laptop with either Core i7-12650H or i7-13620H processors. That means that there will indeed be a 12th Gen Core series with RTX 40 GPUs. Such systems feature RTX 4060 or RTX 4050 GPUs.
According to unconfirmed information, RTX 40 laptops preorders may start on February 1st, but as shown above they are not to ship before February 8th or 22nd depending on a model.
