American mobile phone network company Verizon announced the availability of Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams, a new service that integrates mobile devices with Microsoft Teams for calling and collaboration.
Claiming to be the first US operator to enable subscribers to use their mobile device’s native dialer to receive calls as a Teams endpoint, Verizon launched Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams to create a unified business communications experience.
“This is yet another example of how we’re helping customers to adapt and succeed in today’s changing workplace by delivering the flexibility to work from anywhere,” said Verizon Business CEO Sampath Sowmyanarayan.
Verizon lists the key benefits of the new collaboration:
|
Single number simplicity: Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams provides employees the flexibility of being able to work from virtually anywhere without losing context or business presence.
Call quality: Teams calls made with the smartphone dialer are treated as voice calls on the Verizon LTE network
Call transfer: Allows users to move between devices and Teams endpoints during a call without dropping the call
Cost savings: Through an integrated calling solution that can replace stand-alone solutions, Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams helps to reduce costs while keeping employees connected
Security: The ability to enforce secure and compliant business policies on all employee communications
With Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams, organizations can have a mobile unified collaboration and communication experience that minimizes costs and reduces security risks.

ENABLE HYBRID CLOUD & REDUCE NETWORK LATENCY WHITEPAPER
Hybrid cloud promises to bring together the best of both worlds enabling businesses to combine the scalability and cost-effectiveness of the cloud with the performance and control that you can get from your on-premise infrastructure.
Reducing WAN latency is one of the biggest issues with hybrid cloud performance. Taking advantage of compression and data deduplication can reduce your network latency.
Research firm, Markets and Markets, predicted that the hybrid cloud market size is expected to grow from US$38.27 billion in 2017 to US$97.64 billion by 2023.
Colocation facilities provide many of the benefits of having your servers in the cloud while still maintaining physical control of your systems.
Cloud adjacency provided by colocation facilities can enable you to leverage their low latency high bandwidth connections to the cloud as well as providing a solid connection back to your on-premises corporate network.
Download this white paper to find out what you need to know about enabling the hybrid cloud in your organization.
