However, these M2 Pro and M2 Max refreshes introduce Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, plus HDMI 2.1 ports that can drive 8K displays at 60 Hz. Battery capacities remain at 70 Wh and 100 Wh, as do 67 W, 96 W and 140 W charging speeds, depending on the model chosen. Supposedly, the M2 Pro and M2 Max are more energy efficient than their predecessors though, with 1-hour longer movie playback and web browsing official estimates for both models.
The new MacBook Pro 14 and MacBook Pro 16 are orderable now in multiple markets, including the Eurozone, UK and the US. Seemingly, shipments will start on January 23 or January 24, although different dates could apply in some regions. As always, Apple allows people to freely configure either machine, with several memory and processor options available. The company offers three pre-configured units per model, which are as follows:
