HP has introduced the E45c G5, the largest model among its E-series G5 monitors. According to HP, the E45c G5 relies on a 44.5-inch VA panel that outputs at 400 nits with a 3,000:1 contrast ratio. Purportedly, the monitor should cover 99% of the sRGB color space with 8-bit panel depth and 3 ms GtG response times while also delivering 178° vertical and horizontal viewing angles.
The E45c G5 operates at 5,120 x 1,440 pixels (DQHD) too for a 120 PPI pixel density in a 32:9 aspect ratio. Surprisingly, the monitor can output at up to 165 Hz, which should provide a smooth working or gaming experience. For some reason, the company has not confirmed the monitor’s curvature. Similarly, although HP has outlined the following ports, it has not provided full HDMI 2.1 specifications yet:
- 2x DisplayPort 1.4
- 1x HDMI 2.1
- 1x Gigabit Ethernet
- 4x USB Type-A (5 Gbps signaling rate)
- 2x USB Type-C (5 Gbps signaling rate, 65 W Power Delivery, DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode)
Moreover, HP has included stereo 3 W speakers and an adjustable stand, plus 100 x 100 mm VESA mounting holes. The HP E45c G5 will be available in the UK for £1,499. HP has not confirmed a release date yet, nor how much the monitor will cost in other markets.
