Available on Amazon since early June 2021, the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-45-R21A is a gaming notebook that comes with good specs and a reasonable price. However, the AMD Ryzen 5 5600H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 combo no longer justifies the US$1,149.99 price tag, although they come with 16 GB DDR4 memory, 512 GB NVMe SSD storage, and a 15.6-inch FHD 144 Hz IPS display. Luckily, those interested can grab this machine with a 24% discount that brings its aforementioned list price down to a reasonable US$868.88.
One of the many Acer Nitro 5 configurations that were reviewed by Notebookcheck is the AN515-45-R1JH, which brings together an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. Described as “a solid gaming laptop” by our in-depth analysis, it also uses a 15.6-inch 144 Hz IPS display, but with a higher resolution of 2,560 X 1,440 pixels.
The Acer Nitro 5 AN515-45-R21A comes in black and runs Windows 10 Home out of the box. Its existing storage solution can be supplemented with another PCIe M.2 SSD and a 2.5-inch SSD or HDD. This machine also features dual band 802.11ax WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and Killer Ethernet E2600 Gigabit Ethernet LAN. It promises 10 hours of average battery life and sports a 4-zone RGB backlit keyboard. Last but not the least, it should also be mentioned that the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-45-R21A features twin fans and quad exhaust ports.

In my early school days, I hated writing and having to make up stories. A decade later, I started to enjoy it. Since then, I published a few offline articles and then I moved to the online space, where I contributed to major websites that are still present online as of 2021 such as Softpedia, Brothersoft, Download3000, but I also wrote for multiple blogs that have disappeared over the years I’ve been riding with the Notebookcheck crew since 2013 and I am not planning to leave it anytime soon. In love with good mechanical keyboards, vinyl and tape sound, but also smartphones, streaming services, and digital art.
