Shannon Sharpe has claimed that Russell Wilson’s ‘attitude’ has his Broncos teammates ‘seeing’, just a day after Denver parted ways with first-year head coach Nathaniel Hackett following a dismal 4-11 overall record.

Co-hosting Fox Sports’ ‘Undisputed’ on Tuesday along with Skip Bayless, Sharpe tore into Wilson after the 5-10 Los Angeles Rams smacked the Broncos at SoFi Stadium on Christmas Day, 51-14.

‘Let me tell you what the problem is,’ Sharpe said. ‘Russell Wilson has never been a 1-2-3 get rid of the ball [guy]… He was very good at improvisation. He was very good, Skip, at getting off-script. Russell has lost athleticism.

‘Russ cannot outrun anybody! So he can’t make those improvisational plays like he could for those first 10 years in Seattle. You’d never see Russ get dragged down from behind. Now, Russ doesn’t look like he could outrun me.’

Other than Wilson’s diminishing athleticism, Sharpe, who won two Super Bowl titles in his first nine-year stint with the Broncos, emphasized that the quarterback needs to keep his ego in check.

‘I don’t know who the head coach is gonna be, but the first thing you do [is say], ”Russell Wilson, I’m locking this office. You will no longer have an office. All those parking spaces you get at the stadium, they’re gone too — because you’re putting yourself in front of the team,” the 54-year-old added.

I said it before, I’ll say it again, and I stand by it. You ticked a lot of people off with your attitude, bro. You can come out here and talk about how we’re a team and I’m good with my teammates, but deep down inside, they’re seething, and I’m gonna leave it at that.’

Wilson was traded to Denver in March by the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for two first-round picks, two second-round picks, a fifth-round pick, quarterback Drew Lock, defensive lineman Shelby Harris, and tight end Noah Fant.

He signed a five-year, $245 million contract extension with the Broncos before even throwing a football for his new team, making it difficult for him to seek a trade in the future.

In Week 16 against the Rams, the 34-year-old threw for 214 yards, a touchdown, and three interceptions.

He was also sacked six times for just the fifth time in his 11-year career.

‘Well, the bottom line is unacceptable, you know, and it starts with me,’ Wilson said postgame on Christmas Day. ‘The bottom line is that I let us down. It can’t happen, and it’s been disappointing.’

‘It’s been a storm all year, and not what we hoped for and what we dreamed for,’ he added, after being asked his thoughts on Denver’s ongoing struggles this season.

‘But it doesn’t mean it’s gonna end that way, you know, for years to come. We got to change it, and, like I said, it starts with me and I’m gonna be the first one to make sure I do everything I can, that we can change it.’
