After having a great talk with the baseball legend, and moments before saying goodbye, the NFL legend went on to get two jerseys of his former team, the New York Giants. One of which had written Jeter with the number 2 on it.

As he proceeded to give it to Jeter, he said, “You could be a Giant.” With these five words, the NFL legend defined another career for Jeter. If he had opted for it, he would still have stayed in New York. He would have become a fan favorite of the same New Yorkers, but just for another sport.
