The Guam U17 women’s national soccer team arrived in Osaka, Japan today for a training camp. The team will be there until Dec. 21.
While there, they will also play two training matches against two local teams.
The 20-player traveling team is led by head coach Kimberly Sherman and assistants Thomas Castro and Jeroen Bos, physiotherapist Dr. Kelsey Kuehn and Women’s National Program Director Ross Awa.
The camp will assist coaches in player evaluations and selections leading up to the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers Group G, which will be played in Guam April 22-26, 2023. Guam was drawn as the host venue of Group G with opponents from the Philippines and Lebanon, according to a social media post by the Guam Football Association.
