But what seems to be the shortstop’s last fragrance with the brand Avon had become the talk of the town, not only among men but also women as well. His teammates, too, got mesmerized by the fragrance.

How did Derek Jeter know his teammates were mesmerized by the fragrance?

The apparent last fragrance of Jeter came out named Rush. The brand Avon has let Derek be a part of the creative team like the design of the bottle, coming up with the scent, etc. Rush, however, seems to have made a home run. As soon as it came out, while Jeter was obviously promoting it, he had his teammates tease him but ask for it in private. Guess they didn’t like to be talking about fragrances in public.

In his words, “In a big group, [my teammates] don’t really ask me about it. They teased me about it originally, but then when we are one-on-one, they ask me for some.”

He further added that his teammates used to spray themselves with the cologne before going out on the field. He never understood the reason behind it. But he never spritzed himself before hitting the field.

Women asked Jeter about it too!

Although the cologne that Jeter launched with Avon was curated only for men, women did ask him about it. But they didn’t ask about it for themselves.
