Top firms back NPC golf at Wack Wack

MANILA, Philippines — Township developer Megaworld and long-time golf patron International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) head the early roster of companies from the private sector throwing their full backing to the National Press Club anniversary golf tournament slated November 25 at Wack Wack’s West course in Mandaluyong City.

Close to 100 participants are set to see action in the 18-hole fun tournament staged to highlight NPC’s milestone 70th anniversary celebrations and at the same time generate funds for the country’s top media organization’s projects and programs, including scholarship grants for deserving children of NPC members .

Other supporters of the event are DSWD Secretary Erwin Tulfo; National Irrigation Authority (NIA) Administrator Benny Antiporda; Negros Occidental Rep. Arnie Teves, Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte, 1PACMAN Party List Rep. Mikee Romero and Benguet Rep. Eric Yap; Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA); Atty. Dhalia Salamat and RICH Corp.

The NPC golf field will include players and representatives from the private and government sectors, the big business and the media. Play will be under the Stableford scoring system with titles and trophies up for grabs in Classes A, B and C.

There will also be special awards staked on designated fun holes, including the most accurate drive, longest drive and closest to the pin.

The organizing NPC, made up of journalists and photo-journalists from various media platforms such as print, TV and radio, will cover the green fees, food and drinks with big prizes to be raffled off during awards rites.
