MLB fans enjoying the 2022 World Series got more than just baseball this past weekend.

On Friday, during Game 1 of the Fall Classic between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Houston Astros, slugger Kyle Schwarber won America free tacos, but not with his power.

Schwarber stole second in the seventh inning with the game tied, 5-5.

Thanks to his speed and determination, fans in America can get a free Doritos Locos Taco from Taco Bell within the next 10 days.

It has been a tradition for several years now that the first player who steals a base in the World Series wins free tacos for the people.

Fans are required to register on Taco Bell’s website and/or download their app to claim the tacos.

Of all the speedsters on both teams, such as Jose Altuve, Kyle Tucker, Jeremy Pena, Bryson Stott, Jean Segura, or even Brandon Marsh, Schwarber being the man getting tacos for fans is nothing short of amazing.

He hit 46 home runs in the regular season, so good thing the league doesn’t give away free food based on power achievements.

Schwarber Stole More Bases Than Ever In 2022

To be fair, however, Schwarber decided to be more active on the basepaths this year.

He stole a career-high 10 bases in 2022: there is some speed in him!

The league official Twitter account is now letting people participate for the base Schwarber stole.

With just re-tweeting their latest post, people will be able to participate.

It will be a nice piece of memorabilia one day: it probably won’t be worth too much, but people will remember it as the base Schwarber stole to feed the whole country.

The Astros and Phillies are tied 1-1 in the Fall Classic, with Game 3 coming on Monday.
